This is a group of residents that represents a particular housing scheme or area. Residents' associations have an elected committee, constitution, equality and diversity statement and a working bank account. Community initiatives officers provide ongoing support to the group and attend their meetings. Other members of staff attend meetings, if invited by the residents' association.
The Association has over 80 formally recognised and constituted residents' associations and spokespersons.
