Building facilities locally
We have 50 furnished bedsits for young people in need of accommodation and support to help them gain the skills they need to move on into independent living. The accommodation provided is self-contained, some with a shared kitchen and bathroom. Residents have use of a communal lounge and laundry room. There is a training room and community learning centre available to residents, other organisations and the public.
Help and support
On arrival, residents complete a personal action plan which helps them plan their future. Part of the action plan includes an agreement to meet regularly with their allocated key worker and the Community Learning Centre coordinator to monitor their progress.
Please view the Quay Foyer website for the full details of the services and facilities it provides.
Funding
The project is funded through licence fees, housing benefit, local government contracts and grants applied for directly by the Quay Foyer.
