Our Homes
Raglan homes are located across the UK in over 100 local authority areas in both rural and urban settings. Accommodation ranges from 1 bedroom flats to larger multi-bedroom family houses.
All our homes meet the Government's ‘Decent Homes Standard’ and provide residents with a safe, comfortable and welcoming place to live.
Our development work involves building new homes that are sustainable: from the construction materials used to the communities that are encouraged to flourish.
We offer a variety of homes for people with different needs:
Homes to Rent
General Rented
Over 80% of our homes are rental properties, the majority of which are subject to nomination by local authorities who act as ‘letting brokers’ for housing associations in their area.
Sheltered Housing
Sheltered schemes are generally for couples and single people over 60. However, Raglan has a number of schemes for the over 55's that have no scheme manager support but offer the security of a 24 hour helpline. Generally the sheltered accommodation is in self-contained flats with communal facilities for social gatherings.
Supported Housing
A number of our rental homes provide affordable supported housing to people with many differing needs, either directly through Raglan or via a managing agent. These homes and the services they offer assist many groups of people including older people, people with mental health, physical or learning difficulties, vulnerable people and the young.
Homes to Buy
Shared Ownership
Also known as the ‘Part Buy, Part Rent’ scheme, shared ownership is an initiative that helps people who cannot afford to purchase a home outright. It enables the purchaser to buy a share of a property and pay rent on the remaining share – with further options to increase the share they own over time (staircasing).
Leasehold Properties
This scheme gives older people of retirement age the opportunity to purchase a property on a long lease. Most of these homes are self-contained flats, with some bungalows.
