We offer a range of housing to rent and have homes in more than 90 local authority areas.
If you want to rent a home from us you either need to:
- apply to the local authority where you want to live
- apply to Raglan using the direct application process
Our Housing Services Centre staff will explain the process to you and help you apply for one of our homes.
Applying to a local authority
We build new homes for rent and also re-let homes as they become available.
If you want to rent a home from us you need to register with the relevant local authority in the area where you want to live. There is a list of local authority website links on this site.
The majority of councils operate a choice based lettings scheme and once you have been accepted onto the housing list, you will be able to look at all affordable properties advertised by the local authority which match your needs.
How Choice Based Lettings work
Rather than homes being allocated by the local authority, choice based lettings allow prospective tenants to bid for available properties they are interested in.
The local authority will provide us with a list of people who qualify for available properties. The authority will consider the type and size of the home and where it is located.
The property is offered to the person who has the highest level of need on the housing register. The local authority will base your priority for a home on a variety of factors, such as your housing needs and any special circumstances that you may have.
Visit the relevant local authority website to find out more about their choice based lettings scheme.
Direct Application
Due to demand we are currently unable to accept any direct applications and as such we will not be able to respond to any requests or correspondence. However we will advise you as and when this situation changes.
