Development

Raglan has regional development offices in all the areas it covers in the UK and has a dedicated specialist administration support team based in its head office at Poole in Dorset.

To contact Raglan's development team, please email development@raglan.org.

If you are a landowner, developer, contractor or consultant wishing to work with Raglan, or would simply like to keep up to date with current opportunities, please contact your local regional development office.

Development Aims
Raglan is currently working with national and locally based developers and contractors on a programme of planned expansion, which will take our build programme from 300 to 600 new homes a year. This progressive development schedule has enabled us to achieve the aim of becoming a Housing Corporation Investment Partner.

Throughout this rapid expansion we will still remain dedicated to providing quality affordable homes that meet local needs and represent value for money in terms of the public funding we receive.

Raglan's geographical spread and range of development schemes, as well as its involvement with a diverse range of groups and organisations, puts the development team in an advantageous position to tap into best practice and innovative solutions and ideas.

In addition, we also work closely with key local authority partners to meet local demands for more affordable homes.

One of our key strengths is our willingness to share our development experience and practice with all our partners.

Innovation in design and construction is also paramount to the way we work, and we use partnering and modern methods of construction (MMC) where location, volume and size make economic sense.

Our Commitment To
Quality & Continuous Improvement
The Association is a member of the Housing Forum and Housebench Benchmarking Club. Membership of these groups assists us in improving the performance of products and services and helps us attain best practice.

Our Commitment To The Community & Workforce
Equality and Diversity Policy
We expect contractors and consultants working with us to adopt our equality and diversity policy policy. This is monitored and reinforced by structured planning and training on an ongoing basis.

Local Labour Policy
Contractors and developers are encouraged to employ local labour guided by our Local labour policy wherever possible. Our developments can have a significant impact on local economies and employment.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme
Raglan expects its contractors to be registered with The Considerate Constructors Scheme to reinforce our commitment to working with contractors who are considerate, clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious, responsible, accountable and generally good neighbours to the local community in which they are working.

Sustainability & The Environment
Raglan has both a sustainability Policy and an environmental policy, and is currently working to establish an environmental management system to the standard of ISO 14001. Our homes are built to the relevant Code for Sustainable Homes and EcoHomes standards and we have established processes to monitor the environmental performance of our schemes.
