You can report a repair in the following ways:

Response times for repairs
When you report a repair we will discuss the nature of the problem. We will then tell you what response time category we have placed it in. Response times are measured from the time you report the problem to us.


Emergency repairs:
completed or temporary repair within 24 hours
  • removal of immediate danger to people
  • the avoidance of flooding or major damage to the property
  • making the property secure (work may only be done to make the situation safe and follow-up work done at a later date)
Urgent repairs:
completed within 7 days
  • work that needs to be done quickly to prevent immediate damage to the property
  • work to overcome serious inconvenience to the resident
Routine repairs:
completed within 28 days
  • non-urgent work where the repair does not cause immediate inconvenience to the resident or the public
  • work that does not present a danger to the resident or the public

Response times for gas heating and hot water repairs
Within 24 hours - for total loss of either heating or hot water during winter (1 Nov - 31 May). Also, if there is a serious water leak from the system, a blocked flue, or total or partial loss of gas supply.
Within 7 days - for all other gas heating problems.
